Rules for Our Well-Maintained RV Park in Joplin, MO
To make your stay more enjoyable, kindly observe the following rules at Big Shoal RV Country.
General Rules:
*NOT ADHEARING TO ANY RULE MAY BE GROUNDS FOR REMOVAL FROM CAMPGROUND.
- Campground fees are payable in advance.
- Payment must be made prior to arrival or upon arrival. It is the guest responsibility to bring cash payments to the office in a timely manner. Late fees to be assed as follows:
- Monthly rent, more than 3 days late accrue late fees. If payments are not made including late fees guests will be asked to leave the campground and ultimately removed if not complying.
- Checkout time is 1:00pm. Late checkouts will be charged a fee. If you would like a late checkout, please check with the office for site availability.
- Quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 7:00am Sunday through Thursday and 11:00pm to 8:00am Friday and Saturday.
- You are responsible for the conduct and safety of your children.
- Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult at the lake and creek.
- Discharging firearms or fireworks is strictly forbidden.
- Clothes lines are not permitted.
- Do not put anything in fire pits other than wood. This includes aluminum cans and plastic bottles.
- No smoking is allowed in any campground building. This includes electronic and vapor cigarettes.
Visitors:
- Visitors must register at the office before visiting your site. There is a limit of 4 visitors per RV site at one time.
- Overnight visitors must be checked in by 8:00pm. No visitors will be allowed into the campground after 8:00pm.
Pets:
- Subject to approval. Insurance requirements may have certain breed restrictions that change from time to time.
- You are responsible for cleaning up after your pets in all areas of the campground, including your own campsite.
- Pets must be leashed and controlled at all times and are not allowed in any campground buildings, including the shower house.
- Cats must be kept inside of RVs.
- No pets are allowed in campground buildings.
- Do not leave pets outside your RV unattended at any time.
- Tethered pets must be tied to a metal tie-out in the ground with a tether no longer than 12 feet. Do not tie pets to trees, electric pedestals, picnic tables, hydrants, etc.
Sites and Showers:
- Sewer collars are required for all sewer hose hookups; clear elbows are preferred to monitor flow.
- Heated drinking hose is preferred for winter camping.
- Heated Sewer Slinky, also preferred, helps in the winter months.
- Open grey tanks and Drip water in winter months when days are 32 degrees or lower to prevent freezing pipes.
- Check Sewer Hoses regularly, for wear and tear. Replace it when needed.
- Clean up any mess, leave no personal items behind.
- If an emergency cleanup is required, please call management.
- Please turn off all lights and adjust your thermostat to conserve energy when not in your unit.
- Please keep shower-house doors closed at all times.
Laundry Room:
- Keep Door Closed
- 24 hour accessible with code lock (see office for code to Laundry and Bathhouse).
- Do Not overfill washers or dryers.
- Clean up any mess and leave no items behind, they will be discarded.
Vehicles:
- MAXIMUM SPEED LIMIT IN THE CAMPGROUND is 10 MPH.
- Please watch for children playing and riding bikes.
- Use of ATVs, UTVs and golf carts requires special arrangements to be made with the Camp Director.
- Sites are wide enough for 2 vehicles to park side by side. Limit of 2 vehicles per site. Check with the office if you need to make parking arrangements for extra vehicles, boats, trailers, etc.
- Working on vehicles in the campground is PROHIBITED. You must ask management for a place to work on a vehicle. There are no exceptions.
Wildlife:
- The feeding of geese, ducks, deer, fish or other native species is strictly prohibited.
Lake and Creek:
- *Liability waiver must be signed by all guests
- Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult over 21 years of age.
- No Swimming, Boats, kayaks, surfing boards, tubes, floatation devices of any kind allowed on the lake.
- No Glass containers are allowed at the lake or creek.
- No motorized vehicles are allowed around lake or creek.
